“The Future of the American Workplace”

Patrick H. Davis will speak on America’s aging workforce, multi- generational clashes, difficult “generational shifts” and transfer of the institutional ‘brain trust’ are just a few of the pressing and unique challenges facing American enterprise today.  With differing impacts in various industries, the American workplace is transforming.  Exploring these changes and the likely trends is the premise for the presentation, however, the focus relates to identifying essential organizational, departmental and worker competencies for Human Resource professionals to effectively manage and influence the 21st Century workplace.

SD SHRM is the local chapter of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Members will have the opportunity hear this lecture.  Learning Objectives:

Understand the source and nature of current workplace change;
