"Aging -- Gracefully and With Purpose"

staying young fit trim weightloss weight loss fat free south beach skin wrinkle youth personal appearance audiobook audio book mp3 cd beauty pagent miss usaThe “Gift of Longevity” has changed everything.  Continued breakthroughs in medical science and innovations in technology have made life safer, improved the quality of daily health and extended life expectancy for the average American to 20 to 30 years.  But is this “Gift of Longevity” is both a blessing and a curse?  As the Baby Boomer generation of 78 million enters the 6th decade of life, is youth-obsessed American society ready?  Given the fact that more people are living longer, is it time to find good use for those extra years?  What can I do to grow older gracefully and with purpose?

Old age is no place for sissies, to quote Bettie Davis, (1908 – 1989, American Actress) and as anyone that is older will tell you, it is not for the faint of heart.  With a society where possessing money and youth (at least looking youthful) means officially existing, old age is denied and defied.  Aging gracefully and with purpose is a process that encourages optimism about growing old.  Baby Boomers are a pioneering generation needing to make positive contributions beyond careers and remaking/revolutionizing growing old.

Aging requires understanding, accurate information, good life management skills and change in perception. Finding your purpose in life, however, poses a different set of challenges and demands on each of us.
